If you are looking for entry-level exercise equipment then you will definitely want to take a look at a Proform exercise bike. They are extremely affordable and are excellent for home use. ProForm exercise bikes come in several different models and range in price from $150-$500.

Proform Upright Exercise Bikes

At the low end of the spectrum ProForm offers the GR75, GT30, and the GL35. The GR75 retails for around $150 and is an upright model that features a 2-speed CoolAire workout fan, a heart rate monitor, for preset training programs and adjustable magnetic resistance to vary the intensity of your workouts.

The GT30 also sells for $150 but does not have the four preprogrammed training programs. Quite frankly, the GR75 is a better buy and has more features than the GR30 so if this is the price range you are comfortable with then I would suggest opting for the GR75.

At $250 there is the GL35 to consider and for $100 more it is a pretty good deal. It has all the features that the GR75 offers along with handlebars that allow for different grip positions and optional iFit capabilities that cost extra.

Proform Recumbent Exercise Bikes

In addition to three upright models, Proform also makes three recumbent bike models; the GR80, GR90 and GT120. These three models cost $250, $400 and $500 respectively. Again, very affordable prices that all and all offers good value for your money.

For some unexplainable reason the GR80 does not have an adjustable seat so for that reason and that reason alone I would disqualify this model from consideration. How could they not put an adjustable seat on a recumbent exercise bike? I don’t get it.

The GR90 is a different matter altogether. It comes with a CoolAire fan, a comfortable seat that is adjustable (hello), pulse sensors, iFit training programs and offers a smooth workout that does not put undue stress and strain on bones and joints.

The GT120 offers pretty much the same things as the GR90 but is built a bit sturdier. So basically if you own a gym or health club where the recumbent bike is going to take a beating then go with the GT120. If you want the recumbent bike for home exercise and want to save yourself $100 then go with the GR90.

So as you can see, if you are looking for a Proform exercise bike there are several choices available. To get an idea of what the good people who have actually purchased these exercise bikes think you can go on Amazon.com and read their reviews. That is always an excellent way to get valuable input about a product.
