As we grow older we begin to show signs of our age gradually, but nevertheless definitively. One of the ways in which our age shows is by wrinkles on our skin. Because of that many people, especially women, turn to wrinkle reducing cream to fight off or delay the effects of aging. These things that are jokingly referred to as laugh lines usually begin to form at the corners of the eyes.

One thing is for sure, the best eye creams are big sellers and they cost a lot of money. As a part of the multi-billion dollar beauty industry, wrinkle reducing cream is one of the very best sellers. Creams can cost anywhere from $20 up to $100 or more. And of course, it is recommended that you apply the cream to your face on a daily basis. That means going through a lot of wrinkle reducing product and after a while it’s going to become a pretty expensive proposition.

Because these skin care products can be so costly we have put together a list of some inexpensive, yet effective alternatives that in our opinion rivals the best eye creams. These alternative skin care products may not be as pretty as their high-priced counterparts, but we believe that they are every bit as effective and the savings speak for themselves.

First off, use glycerin soap when you wash your face. Glycerin soap will not dry your face and it does not leave a residue on your skin. It is also excellent for people with sensitive skin.

Hold onto your socks for this next one. It’s a doozy.

Mayonnaise. Yes that’s right, Mayonnaise. Okay before we lose you here give us a chance to explain. Take a tablespoon full of mayonnaise and rub it on your face and neck leaving it on for about a half-hour or so. Simply rinse it off and feel your skin. I think you’re going to be in for a big surprise when you notice how smooth your face and neck are. Unorthodox yes, but it works.

Up next we are going to use an egg as our wrinkle reducing cream. The leading types of creams on the market are astringents which means they tighten your pores and firm up your skin. Were going to do the same thing with an egg. Separate the whites from the yolk and spread the white over your face and neck. It will dry quickly and you’ll feel your skin firming up. When it’s completely dry simply rinse it off.

The next thing you want to do is get a cotton ball and soak in witch hazel and, you guessed it, apply it to your face and neck. Then take some rose water and repeat the process by also applying it to your face and neck with a cotton ball. It is recommended that you do the egg application with witch hazel once a week, and you can apply the rose water every other day.

Other natural wrinkle reducing cream products include cocoa butter, avocado oil and jojoba oil. All these products can be purchased at your local health food store. Apply each of them as a night cream on a daily basis and leave them on as you sleep. You will find that they will rival the best eye creams, all at a fraction of the cost.

It has also been reported that vitamin D helps to heal and renew skin cells. But it has also been reported to reduce and remove scars over time with regular applications.

And finally, we are going to go into preventative mode. Use a sunscreen with a factor of SPF 30 or higher whenever you plan on going outdoors extended period of time. Nothing dries out your skin and causes wrinkles like the powerful UV rays of the sun. How does that saying go, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?

So go ahead and get to work. I am more than confident that you will find these alternatives to expensive wrinkle reducing cream products will rival the best eye creams sold anywhere. Although these may be new treatments for you, others have effectively been using them for years. It’s the good people that work in the beauty supply products industry that don’t want you to know about these anti-wrinkle skin care treatments.

While searching for an acne cleanser it struck me that there is no shortage of bold claims made by the producers of acne skin care products. You would think that they were miracle cures by the way they hype them up and make bold claims of all the wonderful things they can do to clear up facial blemishes.

As someone who suffered from acne for years, I can attest that many of these acne cleansers don’t come anywhere near delivering on what they promise. As a matter of fact, I would say that most acne treatment products are nothing short of snake oil. And I have tried them all from acne creams to acne cleansers.

You may not want to hear this but the fact of the matter is is that modern science has yet to come up with an effective cure for acne. There are however, some common sense approaches that you can adopt right away that have been found to be effective.

First off, you should avoid touching your face. When we touch our faces bacteria is transferred from our hands to our face and that bacteria can cause pimples and blemishes. Secondly, if you’re a teenager then hormones play a rather large factor in causing acne and there really isn’t a lot you can do about it. But you will eventually grow out of it so take heart in that.

I really don’t see anything wrong with trying the various cleansers as long as you don’t damage your skin by overusing any of them. I would however caution you not to spend too much money on any of the acne treatment products advertised. I fear that you’ll not only be disappointed with the results, but also substantially lighter in the wallet.

One approach you may want to take is using witch-hazel which is a natural astringent derived from the bark of a shrub native to North America. Witch hazel is similar to rubbing alcohol and is a natural cleanser that penetrates your facial pores and cleans out the bacteria that causes whiteheads and blackheads.

It certainly isn’t a cure-all and you won’t see results overnight, but with regular use you should see some improvement. You’ll want to avoid some types of soap as well as they can irritate your face and make your acne problem even worse.

We hope you find these acne tips to be helpful. Just remember that while an acne cleanser can help clear up some of your pimples, an acne solution will not be found through many of these hyped up acne skin treatment products.
