Treadmills have become arguably the most popular machines used by exercise aficionados. They no longer are found solely in gyms and health clubs. Now millions of Americans have them in their homes as well. Exercise equipment such as treadmills can however, be quite expensive so it is a good idea to keep an eye out for discount treadmills if you want to own your own.

There are several important factors that you want to keep in mind when shopping for a new treadmill. First and foremost is of course, price. You can expect to pay anywhere from a few hundred dollars to $1500 or more for a quality treadmill. That is of course a lot of money so you’re going to want to shop around to find the best deals.

Shopping for discount treadmills is not at all difficult. It is just a matter of knowing where to look. You can start by keeping and eye on your local newspaper advertisements. Many sporting goods stores will advertise in the Sunday paper where they will list their sales items. Another great way to find discount treadmills is to go online.

The Internet is a wonderful place to comparison shop and exercise equipment is no exception to that rule. By going on the World Wide Web you will be able to instantaneously access the products and prices of just about every manufacturer and retailer doing business today. That makes it very easy to compare the various brands and do a little bit of competitive price shopping.

Of course price alone should not be the determining factor. You also want to keep quality in mind. Your treadmill will do you no good if it is breaking down or not functioning properly. Make sure that any treadmill you’re looking for has a warrantee before you buy it. There is nothing worse than bringing home a new purchase only to find out that it doesn’t work.

There are many review sites online and you can also consult publications such as Consumer Reports to get reviews. It is well worth doing your homework to know that what you are paying for will be a good investment for many years to come. Remember that discount treadmills means that they are inexpensive, not cheap. There is a difference.

Treadmills can range in price anywhere from $400 for the low end models up to $3000 and more. Of course, just like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. That is why I am so impressed with the F80 treadmill manufactured by Sole Fitness. I have had extensive experience with many of the leading treadmill brands and for my money the line of Sole Fitness treadmills give you the best bang for the buck.

Sole is an up-and-coming manufacturer in the treadmill industry and are gaining market share as they establish themselves as a manufacturer of quality exercise equipment. Their line of treadmills including the F80, F83 and F85 are not inexpensive. The F80 treadmill for instance retails for around $1500. The F83 costs in the neighborhood of $1800 and the F85 is priced at $2000. No they are not cheap, but they are well worth it and here is why:

They are so highly respected that they received a Best Buy rating from Treadmill Doctor, which is a respected source in the treadmill industry. They are the only treadmill that the Hilton hotel chain will use so you know they can stand up to some abuse. They have an incredible warranty which includes 30 year coverage on the motor, 5 years coverage on parts and 2 years for labor. Good luck finding a better warranty than that. A pretty good testament to their quality isn’t it?

The features include a 2.5 continuous duty motor, a padded running surface of 20″ x 55″, a built in heart rate monitor and sturdy 2 3/4″ rollers. These treadmills are built to last and enjoy a reputation of being some of the finest pieces of exercise equipment on the market today.

The F80 treadmill, and its brothers the F83 and F85 easily fold up and down to save space. The foundation is solid and there is a safety lock that secures the treadmill when it is folded in the upright position.

I used to get shin splints that were pretty awful when I ran on paved sidewalks and streets around my neighborhood. In addition to that I know that many people suffer trauma to their joints because of the impact of their feet hitting the pavement over and over and over again. The human body is just not built to take that kind of abuse.

You will not have that problem with a Sole Fitness treadmill. They come with a Cushioned Flex deck that reduces impact on the joints by up to 40% as compared to running on hard surfaces.

The F80 treadmill is powered by a 3.0 hp motor and can reach speeds up to 11 mph. The deck tilts up to a 15° incline to increase the intensity of your workouts. Both the speed and incline can easily be adjusted on-the-fly from the control counsel while you are using it which makes it quite easy to adjust the intensity of your workout whenever necessary.

The control panel shows your speed, incline, time, distance, calories burned and current heart rate in a brightly lit and easy to read digital display. The entire line of Sole Fitness treadmills enjoy a stellar reputation for quality and reliability. They are a favorite in the exercise industry and it is not at all hard to see why.
